This picture describes me as a teacher because I love going outside and moving my body no matter the weather. Growing up in the north has shown me that it is always possible to go outside and move your body by just throwing some more layers on. As an educator I think it is important to give students place based learning experiences where they can learn from the land and the area around them.

These photos of me as a child demonstrate my early love for learning. From a young age, I enjoyed having my parents read stories to me, solving puzzles, and exploring new things. School was always an exciting place for me, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my passion for learning with my future students.
This video is the introduction to a place-based video assignment I did for class. This was a valuable learning experience for me as I got to see what it was like to plan a field trip. It describes me as a teacher because I love to move my body and be outside. It shows that the classroom can be anywhere and it is possible for students to learn from the environment around them.
